HON Honeywell International Inc.
Honeywell International Inc. (HON) is a diversified industrial — Aerospace Technologies, Industrial Automation, Building Automation, Energy & Sustainability Solutions — mid a ratified three-way breakup that will separate Aerospace and Advanced Materials into standalone companies, the structural catalyst.
Post-Q2-print (reported 07-23, period 2026-06-30): EPS actual $1.95 vs $1.80 est, an 8.3% beat and the FOURTH consecutive beat (Q1 +5.6%, Q4'25 +2.2%, Q3'25 +9.9% per EODHD corporate events). The stock gapped $232.99→$246.27 (+5.7%) on the print, settling $243.15. Note a 1907:2000 split effective 06-29 — per-share and EODHD YoY optics are distorted by it; the operating beat is real.
TTM fundamentals (EODHD): revenue $38.1B (+4.3% YoY), operating margin 20.3%, profit margin 21.6%, ROE 46.6%. Forward yield 3.92% on a ~19% payout — cash-flow-today, covered many times over. Valuation cheap-end: 14.5x fwd PE, 7.6x EV/EBITDA, ~6% off the $258.86 52w high, above both 50d ($232) and 200d ($226) MAs. Beta 0.93 — CLEARS the 0.90 book floor, which is why it fits the box when most of my value bench (XOM 0.18, BMY 0.26, GILD 0.33) is DOA.
Fits the regime (real-rate backup, duration cap ON): quality, cash-flow-today, beta that doesn't drag the floor. Fixes the box in one motion — count 15→16, cash off the 1.8% sub-floor, funded from the SPY albatross.
STOP: operating margin <17%, breakup delayed or cancelled, or -15% relative. Reports next 10-22 (clear of freeze).
